In 2025, Mari Kodama and Rebekka Hartmann embarked on an ambitious and artistically rich project in Seeshaupt, Germany. They presented a complete cycle of Ludwig van Beethoven’s sonatas for piano and violin. This series was uniquely interwoven with contemporary works by French composer Rodolphe Bruneau-Boulmier as a reflection and response to Beethoven.

The performances are at the Holzmühle in Seeshaupt, a venue known for its intimate atmosphere and excellent acoustics, ideal for chamber music.

On March 15, the duo performed Beethoven’s Sonatas Op. 30 Nos. 1, 2,3 , complemented by Bruneau-Boulmier’s  “Manifeste” and “Mise en mouvement.”

On May 10th,  they presented Beethoven’s “Spring” Sonata and Sonata No. 10 in G major, alongside Bruneau-Boulmier’s “Avant le Printemps” for solo violin.

Further concerts will be on October 11th and November 29th.
