On 30 and 31 August Mari Kodama will play Beethoven Piano Concert No. 0 with the Stadttheater Bremerhaven under the baton of Marc Niemann.
When Ludwig was still called Louis van Beethoven, he wrote his Piano Concerto in E-flat Major WoO4 at the age of 14, today called Piano Concerto No. 0. Mari Kodama has recorded the work in 2019 together with her husband Kent Nagano and the Deutsches Sinfonie-Orchester Berlin for the label Berlin Classics in an exemplary manner. This youthful work captivates with its carefreeness and already foreshadows the genius of later years.
