In January 2022, Mari Kodama will perform three Beethoven Concerti in one very special concert evening together with Josep Caballé-Domenech and the Colorado Springs Symphony. Playing three Beethoven Concerti in a row is always a challenge for the pianist, but she is “very grateful for having wonderful partners for this adventure with Colorado Springs Symphony lead by Maestro Josep Caballé-Domenech” and is looking forward to play for the enthusiastic audience in Colorado Springs.
Beethoven’s piano concertos are among the most loved and requested works of all time. Beethoven’s piano works form a focal point of Mari Kodama’s recording activities, and her interpretations have become standard-setting – she is one of few female pianists to record the composer’s complete sonatas.
